Now, I’m not gonna lie my down fault in this body make over is Starbucks, see I’m a Starbucks whore. I drink it practically everyday, although I choose the skinny side of life. I even have the app on my iPhone to make ordering easier or refill my Starbucks card. I mean as much as I have tried to remake my favorites at home it is just not the same. But, it is my weakness, cannot survive without it. Here is an interesting article for all you coffee freaks….

An Easy Way to Make Your Starbucks Coffee Run a Little Bit Skinnier—and a Lot Faster

I have a confession to make: I have an iced, double tall non-fat caramel macchiato from Starbucks every. single. day. Sometimes multiple times a day. It’s one of those little luxuries that I’m just not willing to live without, but at 140 calories a piece, the drinks can add up to some sneaky extra poundage. Yes, I know I could order it with sugar-free syrup to shave off a few more calories, but to be honest, I hate the sugar-free syrup. A barista recently gave me this amazing tip, though:

Ask for a caramel macchiato without vanilla syrup. Essentially it’s an iced caramel latte, but that’s neither here nor there. Or, he said, you can ask for just a tiny pump of vanilla syrup. I’ve tried both, and let me tell you, they were delicious. If you skip the syrup entirely, you can save as many as 50 calories. So easy, right?

Another fun Starbucks fact I learned recently? You can pay for your drink using your phone—it’s like the coffee run of the future! Seriously, download the app to your iPhone, BlackBerry or (as of June 15) your Android. To pay, just hold the mobile device in front of a scanner on the countertop and scan the app’s on-screen barcode to make a purchase. You can also use the app the check your card balance, reload it, and find the nearest store—highly convenient for ‘bux junkies like me. Find out more at starbucks.com/coffeehouse/mobile-apps.
